James Burridge

James was born on September 4th, 1899 in Benwell, Northumberland, England.¹ James' father was William W Burridge and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Melton. His maternal grandparents were James Melton and Elizabeth Laidler. He had two brothers and eight sisters, named Robert, William, Elizabeth, Mary Isabella, Margaret, Lily, Amelia Louise, Catherine, Charlotte and Evelyn. He is the oldest of the eleven children.
